Thomas O. Putnam founded Fenimore in 1974.
Fenimore is an independent investment advisory firm located in Cobleskill, New York.
We are long-term value investors who buy high quality companies with very good growth potential at discount prices.
We conduct original research and visit with every company we own at least annually.
We believe that preservation of capital is as important as growth of capital.
Fenimore manages separate individual and institutional portfolios.
Fenimore is the investment advisor to FAM Funds - the FAM Value Fund (1987) and FAM Equity-Income Fund (1996).
