Thomas O. Putnam, Founder & Chairman
Tom is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Investment Officer of Fenimore Asset Management. Tom imparts the ongoing vision for Fenimore and provides insight and guidance to our separately managed portfolio business and FAM Funds. Tom received a B.A. from the University of Rochester, an M.B.A. from Tulane University, and founded the firm in 1974.

John D. Fox, CFA, Director of Research & Research Analyst
John is the Co-Manager of the FAM Value Fund. John received a B.S. from Fairfield University, an M.B.A. from the University of Connecticut, and the Chartered Financial Consultant designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA. In 1995, John earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Prior to joining Fenimore in 1996, John spent 10 years in the financial services industry as a financial analyst and as an executive in the life insurance industry.

Paul C. Hogan, CFA, Research Analyst
Paul is the Co-Manager of the FAM Equity-Income Fund. Paul received a B.A. from St. Bonaventure University, an M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton, and earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1995. Prior to joining Fenimore in 1991, Paul was an officer in the United States Army National Guard.

Eric C. Elbell, CFA, Research Analyst
Eric received a B.S. from Millersville University, an M.B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, and earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1995. Eric spent 10 years in the financial service industry and was Vice President and Senior Investment Research Analyst at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter before joining Fenimore in 2001.

Andrew F. Boord, Research Analyst
Andrew received a B.S. from the University of Tennessee and an M.S. from American University - both in Accounting, and passed the CPA exam in 1994 (currently inactive). Andrew spent 10 years in the investment management industry and was a Vice President and Portfolio Manager with A.G. Edwards Asset Management in St. Louis prior to joining Fenimore in 2005.

Marc D. Roberts, Research Analyst
Marc received a B.S. from Siena College in the spring of 2007 and then joined Fenimore. During his senior year he worked as an assistant with a financial advisor at Wachovia Securities, a Junior Accountant for Wilson, Stark & Basila CPAs, and the co-manager of Siena’s student-managed Bjorklund Endowment Fund. Marc passed his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) final examination in 2009.
