Thomas O. Putnam, Founder & Chairman
Tom received a BA from the University of Rochester, MBA from Tulane University, and is Fenimore’s Founder, Chairman, and Chief Investment Officer. Tom imparts the ongoing vision for Fenimore and provides insight and guidance to its separately managed portfolio business and FAM Funds. Not only is Tom dedicated to Fenimore’s investors, he is passionate about investing in the community. Tom founded the firm in 1974, is a firm Principal, and has been with Fenimore for 38 years. 

John D. Fox, CFA, Director of Research
John holds a BS from Fairfield University, MBA from the University of Connecticut, Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation from the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA, and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Prior to joining Fenimore in 1996, John spent 10 years in the financial services industry as a financial analyst and life insurance executive. John is a firm Principal, Director of Research, and Co-Manager of the FAM Value Fund. He has been with the firm for 16 years.
